RMP ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM PRICING FOR FALL 2026 - SPRING 2027
Ruby Mountain Project's Artist Residency program is fee based, built on an equitable sliding scale model and partially subsidized with donations and merchandise sales. Scholarships are not available at this time but will be in the future, hopefully starting fall 2027. Partial work trades are available for up to 50% off the full fee, one opportunity per cohort and based on need and skill levels.
ABOUT SLIDING SCALE PRICING
A sliding scale is an equitable pricing system that offers the same product or service at different price levels based on each person's financial situation. Its purpose is to make services more accessible while ensuring the work is fairly compensated.
Income is one factor to consider, but it does not tell the whole story. Expenses, debt, savings, inheritance, family support, and other financial responsibilities can all affect what someone can comfortably afford. When choosing your payment, consider your overall financial circumstances and select the amount that represents your lived financial experience.
Sliding scale pricing works best when everyone participates honestly. The middle of the scale pricing represents the full fee of what it costs to host an artist. Those who are able to pay more help make services available to people with fewer financial resources, creating greater access while supporting the continued sustainability of Ruby Mountain Project.
Take a look at this “Green Bottle” sliding scale model and determine where you fall on the scale. Match your level with the RMP pricing table below to determine your residency fee.
